Domestic Relationship Agreements

Since 1 March 2009, de-facto couples are now dealt with under similar family laws as those that apply for married couples.

If you have been in a de-facto relationship that broke down after 1 March 2009, then the Family Law Act, Family Court of Australia and the Federal Magistrates Court of Australia will be applied to the resolution of your financial or parenting issues, including the division of assets.  More details about the division of assets is available at our website.
